Intentional Gatherings is an Organic/Simple Church Planting Organization that equips, trains, and releases young people to start lay-led communities of faith in their neighborhoods, and on their campuses as new disciples are made from the Harvest. We seek to “equip the saints for work of service”, and empower the “ordinary follower of Christ” to BE the Church & live out the Gospel.
This typically happens by light invading dark places, Gospel seeds being planted, resulting in new faith communities being birthed. As disciples are multiplied the Gospel spreads rapidly throughout society, and allows for these new disciples to be a part of Christ’s growing Church.
Welcome to intentional gatherings dot com. Since our conception back in 2006 we have gone through many changes as an organization, praise Christ. (The full story of I.G. can be found Here). We hope that this new site, which I am sure will continue to change over time, will be a resource to anyone interested in living out the Great Commission. We believe the last words of Jesus Christ before He ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of His Father to be key for every believer. The pursuit is bringing Glory to God by obeying his commands…
“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age’.” Matthew 28:18-20
One of the ways we obey is by making disciples. When we make disciples, allow the Holy Spirit to work, & apply certain Biblical principles the result is a “Church Planting Movement”. Along with providing all of the information you need about our organization we hope to resource you in some way as you pursue what God has called you to. There are many ways you can be a part of what God is doing through I.G. From supporting financially, to internships & training experiences we hope that you find something useful as you navigate this site. Take a look around; there’s lots of info., videos, and other resources that are certain to be of some use. Thank you for your patience while we continue to work on making this site a wonderful resource.
