Discipleship Communities find strength in the diversity of their people. Paul explains this well when he speaks about the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12. Many of these gifts line up with the callings described in Ephesians 4. Mixed in with these different giftings and callings can come a strange cocktail of personalities. We agree that diversity is a strength when the coupled with accountability. By financially supporting communities rather than individuals, we encourage this accountability without personality bias. Our hope is this choice will decrease financial power dynamics and reduce personality power-plays within our communities.
